Snapshots: Algarve, Portugal
Unedited and straight from the iPhone photos of our long weekend in Algarve, Portugal in November 2012. The weather was rainy but it gave way to sunny afternoons. We hired a car and toured Faro, Silves, Albufeira, Sagres and Lagos.
We stayed in Praia de Luz, in a huge apartment with a terrace providing a distant view of the ocean.
The sunsets were beautiful everywhere.
And of course, I pig out on fresh seafood.
And happy hours with €1 beer and cheap cocktails.
We visited a castle, beaches with blue sky and blue boats and went as far as the “edge of the world” in Sagres.
In an earlier blog post, I shared how easy this was with unplanned discoveries in the rugged cliffs and hidden coves of Algarve. We went home rejuvenated and ready for months of work again.
